FRUHSTUCK RULES!!

Well, the much anticipated fruhstuck did not fail! In fact it was beyond expectations. Let's see.... how can I even begin to explain it? Bottom line, it was a religious experience. No doubt about it. Here's what it was:

Water steeped in amethyst and quartz crystals. An amazing start to breakfast! Then there's smoothies and cooked cereal with fruit , chilled. Look at the presentation. The cereal isn't served in a slop pot...it is presented in sherbert dishes....very carefully.

Here's a detail of the crystal water:

And the Holy Grail of fruhstuck (to Dad). There are 16 different types of jams...all home made by the lady that owns this place..and a lot of the fruit used is grown by her.

The bread basket on the left and toppings for yogurt in the foreground.

This was our breakfast before we started our religious experience:

The remains of my wonderful soft boiled egg:

This is a picture taken from our breakfast table. It shows the gasthaus where our room is. Those are solar panels on the roof.

Just an interesting vine walking back from fruhstuck to our room. The hanging beans feel like velvet.

As we left Immenstaad, we saw lots of apple orchards like this one. Click on the picture to enlarge it...to see the amazing quantity of apples on each tree. These are Elstar variety apples...the best!

Here's a standard apple tree...again, loaded.

Flowers encircling the vineyards:

A church on the north end of the Bodensee...you can see the lake to the left in the background...it was a bit hazy today.

Let me explain this next picture....the overpass...It's a wildlife trail/bridge. They make these here with natural flora...lining them with trees and shrubs with a path in the middle....for deer mainly...so they would not be crossing the highway and get killed and/or cause accidents. Very clever.

Here we are in the Black Forest...the Schwarzwald.

We somehow managed to find our way back to our favorite restaurant in the area...we walked in and the lady remembered us! She is really nice. We asked if they had a room available in their pension and unfortunately they were full. But she was nice enough to call other places in the area and finally found one. So we drove over to the gasthaus and the lady there was excited when we told her the other lady had called for us....so she must have put in a good word or something...because the lady here is very accomadating!

When we were at the restaurant place we asked if we could come back for dinner. Even though they were have 2 large parties there...totaling 90 people, she said if we came on the early side we could get a table. She is so nice! So after checking into our room we went back to the restaurant. Here's a picture of it:

We were seated at this cozy table

And had one of our favorite beers:

After dinner we drove around a bit and took a short hike
